Science Projects around the Home

Do you get stuck in a rut when it comes to science projects? Is it difficult for you to think up of something new, different and interesting to do each year? Or are you tired of carrying the same old projects to school year after year? When science has so many options to offer, why are you limiting yourself to one or two concepts?

Don’t get scared to try out new ideas for your projects. If you choose to work on a different field from others, it will help your project stand out amongst the other science projects on display. Not only will it be a learning experience, you will stand a better chance of winning a prize. Even the judges will appreciate the variety shown by your project.

If you have once built the baking soda volcano, that’s chemistry in action. Think about doing something with biology or physics. It is not that difficult to come up with new projects that involve difference concepts. Biology offers many interesting projects based on living creatures. If flora and fauna are not quite your idea for a project, think along some thing involving physics principles.

What about some experiment with conductor and non-conductors? Or if you are a bit more advanced, think about using electricity. Too scared of current maybe a Fun Airplane would interest you. It is not too time consuming, and will only need some glue and paper to start off.

If you are looking for something cheaper, ask your Mom to give you all the junk lying around the house. Then take a look at the haul and decide what you can fashion out of it. You will be surprised to see the number of science projects this junk can yield. Just start poking around and have fun. That’s what the spirit of science is all about.
